The FOLCM has supported the launch of a brand-new trading card game. The Bonds of Time Historical Trading Card Game (TCG) is the first competitive, collectible TCG based on museum objects to be launched in the UK.
The Bonds of Time TCG features 100 Objects from Lancaster City Museum, ranging from the Stone Age and the Middle Ages to the 20th Century, each of which have unique abilities that tell their own story. One of these objects is a photogravure print of a Georgian election scene produced by the Rembrandt Intaglio Printing Company, Lancaster. The gameplay is simple, dynamic, entertaining and educational, and the game itself has sold especially well during its first months of commercial retail.
Imagine bringing the Roman tombstone of Insus up against a Victorian model of an Iguanodon! Or a Karel Klic print up against a photograph of Victoria Wood! Imagine curating your Cabinet of curiosities to achieve victory through synergy with your Objects across time and space! Now, through the Bonds of Time, you can be your own Curator!
The possibilities for how you can play, and how collections can be made more accessible, are limitless! You can customise your Decks, through Boosters and trading, to build up a formidable team whilst learning the fascinating stories behind objects from across time!
The Bonds of Time TCG is on sale, right now, at Lancaster City Museum, Maritime Museum, Judges’ Lodgings Museum and the Board & Sword TCG shop in Sun Square, available in five different Decks and Boosters to complete your collection.
