High Hopes For Open Day
It’s less than a week now until our Behind The Wall Open Day at Standfast & Barracks.
Interest in this special event has been such that the guided tours of the entire factory are already fully booked but even if you’ve not got a place on the tour, there will still be plenty to see on November 26 from 10am-4pm.
A mini-exhibition will outline the history of the building which first housed a Carriage and Wagon Works before becoming an internment camp in World War One and some of the prestigious artists who are involved in Behind The Wall will be present along with members of the Mirador team who can chat about the whole project.
There will also be a display of images of the flood damage caused at the site – almost a year to the day – and some of Standfast & Barracks current designs.
So if you’ve got an interest in local history, textiles and artistic ways of reflecting heritage, there’s only one place to be on Saturday.
See you there!
